|Pliant release 27 is available at
There are still some small things that need to be done in the code:
- terminating 'to string' and 'from string' (changing 'match' and debugger
- introducing a clean way for parsing complex instructions that fill a
- cleaning the various services (the HTTP server works, but other may be
broken for the moment)
- adding fast handling of simple arguments in the code generator
I'll put release 28 when it's done, but this one can be interresting
for testing because the language should be now close to it's final status.
More precisely, the modules that you have to include in order to access
various features have completely changed, and this will probably be the
final Pliant layout.
In order to compile this version, please type:
(if you prefer the fully Posix compliant version)
The Win32 version is now working, but you'll have to ask me for the

In order to precompile the PDEE, please type:
In order to run the HTTP server, please type:

|Release 26 was internal (I don't remember who I sent it by mail).
Release 27 is a pre-release (in order to demonstrate the big changes
that appent this summer). The Pliant site has not been updated yet,
so only people that subscribed the mailing list (so the one that
follow Pliant carrefully) will be awared of it.
Release 28 (probably in one or two weeks) should be the end of this
major change: I'll update the Web site and announce it on freshmeat.
