Can't load the server module
|Message posted by tsr on 2001/05/28 13:39:21
Looking for something interresting I found pliant. Seems veeery good, but I can't seem to make it work.
I'm using windows 2000 (at work anyhow, and it's here that I have time to play around). I downloaded the win32 binaries to c:\ unzipped it (not win unzip but with PowerArchiver) ran the install.bat script (please change the doc's since they told me to run the 'install')
When I try to execute the following statement;
plaint module c:\plaint\plaint\protocols\http\server.pli command 'http_server port 8080 configure'
I get the following message:
Can't Load module c:\plaint\plaint\protocols\http\server.pli
So, what do I do?
I'm currently using Apache on port 80 (so I suppose I have support for TCP/IP.
I'm not in any way a very skillfull developer or hich-level-user, so please keep your answers understandable.

|There are just some mistakes in your command line.
First, if you've typed exactly what you published in the forum be carefull that you
have to type pliant and not plaint
Second, and more important, this command line load the http server module, and to load it properly
you have to know that in the pliant environement a module path start to the pliant root and not the disk root.
The pliant root is c:\pliant\ and not c:\
So the proper command line to launch the pliant http server is:
pliant module /pliant/protocol/http/server.pli command 'http_server port 8080 configure'
(note: the module path is typed with / and not \ )
Enjoy the discover....

|Be careful that you typed /protocols instead of /protocol, too.
