Pliant for non x86 processors?
Is there any work to get pliant working on non-i386 processors?

|On the download page, it is said that pliant only works with x86 processors. While I've not had a look myself, I assume it's due to assembly code. Is that the case, and is there any work being done to bring pliant to, say, the PowerPC architecture? Thanks!

|Pliant does not generate assembly, as GCC does, but binary code. And
documentations about how to binary encode assembly instructions are often
I have an Alpha in my cellar, waiting for me to start the port, but I never
find time for it. Also the first 64 bits port should raise another issue:
Pliant 'Int' on a 64 bits plateform is 64 bits, but for most C compilers it
seems to be 32 bits, so I will need to introduce 'CInt', just as we currently
have 'CStr', and update many parts of the code accordingly.
