Discussion: Misterious 'receive Remote execution connections' process

|I've noticed that after starting the server via the fullpliant command,
this 'receive Remote execution connections' process stays running, consuming
99.5% of my CPU. If I kill it, the server dies.

|You have selected 'configure' 'Remote execution' 'Remote execution global settings for this computer'
and set 'Remote execution service' to yes.
As a result, Pliant tries to open the remote execution TCP port, but fails to
because it's below 1024 and it's not running as root, so it looks forever trying
to open it.
Just desable remote execution service, or select a valid TCP port for it (also
I discover that there is no easy to use user interface to set change the port)
Please also notice that when you select the 'status' page, you get the list of
all running services, and they are also listed on the console at startup time.
